Underground Booksellers tour
Our walking tours of the district are led by Griffin or Athenkosi. Visit some of the 60+ booksellers in the neighbourhood and learn about the history of books in Joburg. The tour explains how books move in the underground economy. The walk is around 3 hours long, but is all flat and moves at a leisurely pace. Please note that some of the old buildings do not have ramps or elevators, but let us know about your needs while making your booking so that we can make the tour as enjoyable as possible.
Start: Bridge Books, Commissioner Street.
